Il dono è ciò che costruisce legame, alleanza. La communitas. È mettere insieme i doni (cum munus). La communitas attraverso il dono include ogni essere che respira, persone, animali e la natura intera. Il dono fertilizza la communitas con la generosità, l’amore.
Il dono educa alla relazione gratuita. Il dono guida ad uno sguardo diverso sull’altro e su ciò che ci circonda.
Il dono meraviglia, il dono stupisce.
Il dono crea la fede nell’uomo.
Il dono puro protegge dall’utile.

Lahja on se, mikä luo siteen, liiton. Communitas. Se on lahjojen yhdistämistä (cum munus). Communitas lahjan kautta kattaa jokaisen hengittävän olennon, ihmiset, eläimet ja koko luonnon. Lahja hedelmöittää communitaksen anteliaisuudella, rakkaudella. Lahja kasvattaa vastikkeettomaan suhteeseen. Lahja saa meidät katsomaan toista ja sitä, mikä meitä ympäröi, toisin.
Lahja hämmästyttää, lahja synnyttää ihmisessä uskoa ihmiseen.
